In October Sony introduced one of her latest assets: the completely newly designed Cyber-shot DSC-T1 camera. This striking model has every potential to start a completely new line of design cameras from the stable of Sony. The DSC-T1 puts in a high stake: it sets the tone with a resolution of 5 Megapixels and a built-in 3x optical zoom. LetsGoDigital has this pre-production model, of which there is only 1 in Holland at this moment, in the house for a short while. We take the opportunity to give you an enhanced first impression of this new showpiece from Sony. The following article is based on a pre-production model camera, the impressions that I got from this camera are therefore based on a camera that has not reached the final status yet.

Beside the new design the DSC-T1 also features Sony's latest Real Imaging Processor that delivers clearer images at a higher processing speed using 30% less energy. Also the camera has a shorter start-up time. When the lens cap is pushed down the camera is ready to shoot in only a bit over a second!
The body of the Sony DSC-T1 exists of stainless steel. The T1 cameras' appearance is striking, the front has a very smooth line, as less decoration as possible. If you turn the camera around you will see the impressive 2.5-inch LCD screen.
In short: the ingredients are there so it is time for an extensive first impression! |
