BenQ DC P500 : BenQ introduces a new digital addition to its camera line up, the BenQ DC P500 digital camera. BenQ has made some interesting announcement for consumers who are looking for an entry-level digital camera. BenQ offers a complete line up of camera and the introduction of the BenQ P500 completes it. The camera incorporates a 5 Megapixel CCD image sensor and a powerful 5x optical zoom (Pentax). The zoom lens under the brand name of Pentax features a SMC (Super Multi Coating) coating for high image quality. 2005 has been an interesting year for BenQ gaining a little bit more digital camera market share. BenQ's series of digital cameras offers 3 - 8 Megapixels of resolution, all targeted to easy-of-use photographers.

BenQ P500 - 2.5-inch display
Furthermore the BenQ P500 digital camera features a large 2.5 inch LTPS LCD monitor with a high resolution of 230,000 pixels. The BenQ DC P500 is also able to record short AVI video clips (640 x 480 pixels/ 30 frames per second) with sound. The DC P500 camera comes with a 32MB internal memory and supports Secure Digital flash memory. The BenQ DC P500 digital camera will get a price tag (Europe) of EUR 279,- (2 year guarantee included) and will be available around January 2006.
