The 1.7 cm flat Digimax i5 from Samsung features 3x optical zoom (39-117 mm/F3.5-4.5 equivalent of a 35mm camera), a 5 Megapixel CCD chip and on-board electronics fully packed with functions. The new Samsung camera can make videos in VGA resolution, with an image rate of 30 frames per second, thanks to MPEG-4, which uses less storage on Secure Digital cards and MultiMedia Cards. Forgot to take the memory card with you? You can always use the 50MB built-in memory of the Samsung Digimax i5.

International Design Forum - iF Award
The Digimax i5 was recognized for its design concept, which was ‘plainness,’ emphasizing ‘clean’ and ‘simple.’ The iF Design Awards, which were established in 1954, are supervised by the International Design Forum (iF) in Hannover, Germany. iF has acquired an international reputation as a leading industrial design institution. iF is committed to supporting the cause of industrial design and raising awareness among industrial decision-makers on the crucial impact that design can have on successful product marketing. iF is known around the world primarily for its design competitions. In addition, iF promotes the issue of corporate design, presents awards to outstanding designers and produces a number of special shows and exhibitions in Germany and abroad.
