Steve's DigicamsSanyo VPC-E6 review at Steves Digicams : Our good friends at Steves Digicams have published their review of the Sanyo E6 camera. The most impressive feature of the Sanyo Xacti VPC-E6 is the impressive large 3-inch (7,32 cm) LCD display. Still images can be captured in a resolution of 2816x2112 effective pixels, but also knows an interpolated resolution of 10 Megapixels (3680x2760 pixels). Besides still images the Sanyo Xacti E6 offers a MPEG4 video clip mode. The internal optical zoom lens offers a focal length of 38-114mm, providing a brightness of f/3.3 - 4.0. The Sanyo E6 has a 1./2.5-inch CCD image sensor and captures still images with a resolution of 6 Megapixels. The images are stored on the 16MB internal memory on a SD card.

According to Steve Sanders: "Like we have seen with past Sanyo models, the ergonomics are excellent. The majority of its exterior is made from durable metal, which ensures it will survive an active users lifestyle or being tossed in your handbag; even the LCD has a protective plastic covering. The 3.0-inch LCD is very nice and worked great outdoors in the bright sunlight. However, it does not gain up when shooting in dim lighting conditions. Not only is it well designed, but it's quite the little performer too."

Sanyo Xacti VPC-E6 - Steves Digicams review conclusion
Steve continues: " The overall image quality of the 6M-H (low compression) images is good for a camera in this class. Outdoors it captured sharp, properly exposed images that showed good color balance. Overall, we noticed an average amount of barrel distortion as well as slight pincushioning. Noise was present in open blue skies and shadow areas, however no more than we typically see on similar consumer models, and it's very unlikely that you'll see anything in your prints. While using the camera indoors, I found the flash had a pretty short range. You want to learn more about the Sanyo digital camera? Continue to read the Sanyo E6 review at Steve's Digicams!
