SanyoSanyo Xacti VPC-E6 review : August of this year (2005) Sanyo introduced their new flagship, the Xacti E6. The design of the camera is rather sober. It features smooth round shapes and the housing consists of a matte aluminium material. Looking at the specifications it seems we're dealing with a standard digital compact camera. Until our eye caught the information concerning the LCD monitor. The Sanyo Xacti E6 is equipped with a monitor of no less than 3 inches! Sanyo is one of the first manufactures making the step to 3-inch. Only Sony has also created a model with this monitor size. Besides this pleasant feature we notice an additional interesting feature that is unique at this moment, the so-called Touch Sensor.

Sanyo sets down a beautiful concept with the Xacti E6. Of course the 3-inch sized monitor counts double when judging the camera. The exceptionally nice users interface shows its possibilities to the fullest and offers new ones too like dividing the monitor. It is a pleasure to work with a monitor of this size and besides that it makes sharing the stored images with others so much easier. In fact the camera converts to a so-called viewer in a twinkling.

Sanyo VPC-E6 - Touch Sensor
The Touch Sensor function is integrated in the release button and enables faster shooting. Just barely touching the release button with your fingertip suffices to get the Sanyo E6 ready to shoot. The touch is, in a sense, equal to pressing the release button halfway down. This trick leads to a stunning response time of 0,05 seconds.

Sanyo VPC E6 review
The Sanyo E6 digital camera has become available recently. Although Sanyo has a limited market share of digital cameras under their own brand name, they have a remarkable market share if we look at the OEM market and the production Sanyo offers to renowned A-brands. I was able to use the Sanyo E6 for a short period of time and my experiences with this camera can be read in the Sanyo Xacti VPC E6 digital camera review.
