Delkin DevicesDelkin universal eFilm Pop-Up shades : Delkin Devices, Inc., maker is shipping the universal version of their Pop-Up Shades. All Pop-Up Shades allow you to see your camera’s LCD screen in the sun and protect it from damage. The sturdy, lightweight covers are easily installed and protect a digital camera’s LCD screen. Universal Pop-Up Shades are designed to work on most digital point and shoot cameras and feature a new two-part design that allows the shade portion to be removed, leaving the LCD guard in place. The Universal Pop-Up Shade is available in four digital camera LCD sizes: 1.6”, 1.8”, 2.0”, and 2.5”. The 1.6” also fits digital cameras with a 1.5” LCD. These four sizes fit over 90% of digital cameras available.

“With so many digital point and shoot cameras on the market, we had to come up with a Pop-Up Shade that fits them all,” says Marketing Manager Eric Richter. “The Universal models come in the four most popular camera LCD sizes. People will no longer have to use their hand to shade their LCD from the sun.” The new two-part feature, previously limited to the Professional Pop-Up Shade, is now added to the Universal Pop-Up Shade design. The photographer can remove the shade while leaving the optically clear plastic in place.

Delkin Pop-Up Shades - Accessory
The shade easily slides apart from the frame, leaving the protective clear plastic in place to protect the screen. This makes indoor shooting more convenient. “If you don’t need to shade your camera’s LCD, you can now simply slide off the shade,” says Richter. “The best part is that your screen is still protected by the optically clear plastic. People don’t need to shade their LCD all the time, but protection is always important.” The Universal Pop-Up Shade attaches to most digital point and shoot cameras with the included adhesive tape. It uses a non-residue adhesive that allows easy removal of the entire Pop-Up Shade from the camera. When removed, the shade will not leave sticky residue like other LCD shades on the market. The Pop-Up Shade’s hard impact plastic that snaps shut over the camera’s LCD screen makes them different from alternatives on the market. Every Pop-Up Shade pops-up with the flick of a finger to shade the screen from bright light.

Universal Pop-Up Shades - Digital camera solution
“The glare guard is what makes the Pop-Up Shade a real innovation,” explains Richter. “Who hasn’t had trouble trying to take a picture in the sunlight because the glare washed out the view on the camera’s LCD? Photographers have to move around, maybe lose the optimum angle for a shot, or don’t know if they even got a usable image. Sometimes the glare is so bad you can’t even read the menu. We decided to offer a solution to both the LCD screen protection and glare in one affordable product.”

Delkin universal Pop-Up shades - Availability and Price
The Universal Pop-Up Shade is widely available at most camera stores and at Delkin’s website www.delkin.com. MSRP for the Universal Pop-Up Shade is $24.99. The Pop-Up Shade comes in a creative, one of a kind “try me” package that allows the consumer to open and close the cover while it is still in the unopened package. Four versions of the Pop-Up Shade are available: Digital SLR Professional (snap-on), Digital SLR Standard (snap-on), Digital SLR Mini (stick-on), and Universal point and shoot (stick-on).
