 Fujifilm FinePix E900 preview : Some time ago Fujifilm introduced a new series of FinePix digital cameras. Among them the new Fujifilm FinePix E900. This compact camera is one of the first cameras to deliver an amazingly high resolution of 9 Megapixels. Like the DIWA Gold Award rewarded FinePix S9500, the E900 is equipped with the powerful 5th generation Super CCD HR image sensor. Combined with Fujifilm's Real Photo Technology, a powerful 4x optical zoom lens and a sensitivity range of ISO 80 to ISO 800, the black coloured Fujifilm E900 is an interesting digital camera, pioneering the high resolution class for compact digital cameras. We have had a pre-production sample of the Fujifilm E900 in the office and made a preview for you.

 Fujifilm E900 Resolution
Fujifilm is one of the first manufacturers who introduced a new model on top of the competitor's top range of high resolution digital compact cameras. Providing an astonishing 9 Megapixel resolution is one big step that will for sure have effect on the competition. Of course you will ask yourself who will need such a high resolution with a compact camera? But don't forget we have been asking ourselves the very same thing for the last couple of years and we still see manufacturers making progress with the development of new image sensors. Especially Fuji, who have developed their Super CCD sensor some years ago, experience the advantages of their technique with the noise issue. I would like the other manufacturers to do the same thing, upgrading their sensors to their Megapixel Walhalla, but at the same time work on the noise/signal ratio…
