Olympus E500 digital SLR review at DigIT : Our friend and DIWA member Kai Thon from the Norwegian website DigIT.no has published an extensive review of the Olympus E500 camera. The Olympus E500 digital SLR camera is a model for semi-professional and ambitious amateur photographers. The E-500 D-SLR camera is a camera you can rely on, even when you use it in dusty environments. Due to the Olympus' Supersonic Wave Filter, photos remain unaffected from airborne contaminants and are faithfully captured in 8 Megapixel quality using the first class Full Frame Transfer CCD. And thanks to nearly telecentric optics that are specifically designed for SLR photography, the images boast incredibly uniform, edge-to-edge fidelity and brightness.

Olympus E500 - DigIT review
According to Kai Thon: "The Olympus E500 offers a wide range of options and creative features than any of its competitors. The construction is superior to the Canon EOS 350D, on par with Nikon D50, with an ingenious LCD display design. All E-series lenses are of excellent quality, also the inexpensive 14-45mm f/3.5-5.6 supersedes the Canon and Nikon counterparts. At least in Norway, the price tag is most attractive, especially for the 'DZK-kit' with the 40-150mm lens added."
Olympus E500 - Olympus Four Thirds System
The 8 million pixel Olympus E500 SLR combines a classic design, stunning performance and a tempting price to bring the high quality and creative freedom of digital SLR photography to hobby photographers and semi-pros alike. And thanks to the Supersonic Wave Filter, photos will never again be ruined by the harmful effects of dust on the image sensor. The Olympus E500 is extremely light and compact, and offers excellent ergonomic handling. Equipped to facilitate full creative expression and sensational results, the Oly E500 will be offered in a choice of four kits.
