Solutions Expo - Digital imaging training seminar
Nikon UK will be joining forces with major providers of digital imaging solutions to put together an event which will include live photo opportunities, interaction with solutions providers and an extensive range of high-quality training seminars. Nikon's Professional Business Manager, Chris Hoare said “Nikon is very excited to be hosting such a prestigious event in partnership with some of the premier brands in the digital imaging market. Free conference - Digital photography
Solutions Expo will be a free two-day conference led exhibition where experts behind the latest and greatest products will give interactive seminars and presentations. Visitors will have the opportunity to get their hands on the latest equipment, try out the best hardware solutions, learn the latest process techniques and test the ultimate output solutions. Solutions Expo will bring all aspects of digital photography together under one roof and will include four themed seminar streams covering image capture, hardware, process and output. Partner companies presenting include, Adobe, Apple Solution Experts, Epson, HP and Mitsubishi Electric. Visitors will also have the opportunity to handle the latest equipment and get advice at three ‘tableaux’ created for the show, a fashion, bridal & portrait runway, a live action shoot and a still life & macro scene. The event will have a state-of-the-art wireless infrastructure so visitors can send their pictures directly to other stands for practical advice.
Apple Aperture road show
Solutions Expo will host the UK’s only dates for Apple’s Aperture road show. This two hour session will showcase Aperture, the first all-in-one post-production tool for photographers. Join us and find out how you can harness Aperture and Mac OS X Tiger to give you a complete workflow for today’s digital environment.
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Photoshop's greatest strength is its ability to combine, merge and manipulate multiple layers within a single document. But the days of erasing elements we don't want are long gone; instead we have Layer Masks, Blending Modes and Clipping Groups to control the visibility of each layer. In this lively session, Steve Caplin will construct a photomontage from scratch, using a variety of layer techniques to explore the capabilities of the world's favourite photo editing application.
HP case studies
HP hosts two case studies feature heavyweights from the world of photography, Stuart Franklin of Magnum Photo and Fred Zuill of HP USA. Franklin's most well-known photograph is from Tiananmen Square, China, 1989, a man defying a tank, for which he won a World Press award. Zuill will be revealing secrets and revelations behind printing technology
Solution Expo seminar 2005 - Opening times
Solutions Expo will bring all aspects of digital photography together under one roof with an exhibition and four themed seminar streams covering Image Capture, Hardware, Process and Output. Visitors will discover the latest tips and tricks in the conference and see how they can improve their workflow and productivity.
