PhotographyBlogSony Cybershot H1 reviewed at PhotographyBLOG : DIWA member Mark Goldstein from PhotographyBlog has reviewed the Sony Cybershot DSC-H1 digital camera. The new Sony H1 is the first Sony digital still camera to combine a 12x Optical zoom lens with a Super Steady Shot optical image stabilizer, 5.1 effective Megapixel resolution, a large 2.5-inch LCD screen, fast response and full manual exposure control. The Sony Super Steady, a built-in optical image stabilizer Shot, automatically compensates for hand-shake and vibrations to produce sharp digital pictures every time. The Sony Real Imaging Processor further enhances the shooting experience, keeping pictures sharp, colours real, ensuring an extremely rapid camera operation.
Sony Cybershot H1 reviewed at PhotographyBLOGSony H1 - Image noise
According to Mark Goldstein: "The noise levels look fine at ISO 64 and 100, but there's already some noise starting to appear at ISO 200 and the image quality has deteriorated quite a lot at ISO 400. The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H1 handled chromatic aberrations extremely well during the review. Only very high-contrast situations like those shown below caused any problems, with very limited purple fringing present around the edges of over-exposed parts of the image. The Sony DSC-H1 produced images of above average quality during the review period."

Cybershot DSC-H1 - PhotographyBLOG review conclusion
Mark continues: "The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H1 dealt very well with chromatic aberrations, which hardly appeared in any of the test shots, limited purple fringing effects could only be seen in very high contrast situations. The night photograph was very good too, with the maximum shutter speed of 30 seconds and automatic noise reduction offering lots of scope for creative night photography. It's not quite the perfect ultrazoom digicam though. Noise is the main problem with the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H1." You want to learn more about the new Sony Cybershot digital camera? About PhotographyBLOG
Mark Goldstein started his very active website PhotographyBLOG in January 2003. At first the one and only purpose was to let this site function as one of those popular weblogs with Photography as main topic. But as we all know Photography is a pretty big subject to publish about so Mark decided to focus on some hot key points like mentioning all new introductions, reviews, reports from events like PMA and Photokina, sharing some impressive and creative photos and Mark's sole perspective of his feeling about this fascinating world of Digital Imaging. Mark is based in the UK, but his eagle-eye focuses global! Be sure to visit his weblog about Photography, in fact bookmark it, because we believe that Mark is pretty close to become an active and respected website. To us PhotographyBLOG is one of the surprises of 2004/2005.
