Mobile camera phone - Development
According to Shott Ahn, Executive Vice President of LG Electronics, "Nine researchers worked day and night for one and a half years to develop the module. “We expect that this will give LG the momentum to remain at the head of the pack in premium camera phone market." LGE became the world's first in 1995 to successfully develop the CDMA system. The company also began to develop the WCDMA system in 1997, the first of its kind in Korea, and thus was able to demonstrate live-image communications on the occasion of the opening ceremony of 2002 World Cup.
LG camera phone - 5 Megapixels
According to MobileMag: "LG developed not only a 5 Megapixel camera phone module, but as the names would suggest, inner zoom has a lens which moves inside of the camera module. An outer zoom lens is less portable and therefore less usable" We have seen this before with digital cameras where Konica Minolta (Minolta) developed the world's first internal optical zoom lens. This development resulted into much faster start-up times, more portable designs and faster zooming times. You want to learn more about LG's new development.
