CorelCorel appoints Patrick Morley to Vice President : Corel Corporation, a leading global software provider, today announced that Patrick Morley has been named Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing for the Americas geography. A seasoned software industry executive with more than eighteen years of experience in sales, marketing, business and channel development, Morley has proven expertise in driving exceptional growth and revenue generation through strategic sales and distribution initiatives for both established and emerging software companies. In his new role, Morley will be responsible for all aspects of Corel's business in the Americas including revenue, profit and customer satisfaction.

Reporting to Corel Chief Executive Officer David Dobson, Morley will lead sales and marketing execution, distribution channel management and strategic partnerships and alliances. During his career, Morley has successfully created and led software distribution for three public companies and several venture-backed organizations. Prior to joining Corel, Morley was CEO of Imprivata, a Lexington, Mass.-based provider of enterprise single sign-on (ESSO) appliances. Previously, Morley served as Vice President of North America at Macromedia, Inc., where he had responsibility for sales and marketing. As Vice President of the Americas at Allaire Corporation, he built and led the sales, marketing and services strategy and execution. In addition, he also held sales and marketing roles at SQA Inc., Rational Software Corp. and IBM.
