CESCES 2006 : The latest in digital imaging products, software and accessories take center stage at the 2006 International CES, January 5-8, in Las Vegas, Nevada. "Fueled by falling prices, improved technology and exceptional ease-of-use, digital imaging products are some of today's hottest selling technologies and they are sure to top most holiday wish lists this fall," said Karen Chupka, vice president of events and conferences at the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the producer of CES. "The CES International 2006 continues its focus on this important industry sector by attracting leading digital imaging manufacturers and offering the latest in digital capture, document imaging, scanning, production and storage."
CES 20062006 International CES - Imaging
Digital Imaging also will be a popular topic for the CES Industry Insider series and SuperSessions at the 2006 International CES. Antonio Perez, president and CEO of Eastman Kodak, will present an Industry Insider session dedicated to digital imaging on Friday, January 6, from 11 a.m. to noon. The CES SuperSession scheduled on Friday at 1 p.m., The Heir to the 1-Hour Throne, will focus specifically on digital imaging and consumers, how they will opt to view, print, share and store images in the digital age.

International CES 2006 - Convention center
Again in 2006, CES presents Flash Forward 3.0: Bringing Digital Imaging into Focus, to showcase the latest digital imaging products and services. This day-long event, sponsored by InfoTrends Research Group and Picture Business, examines the process of capturing, editing, sharing, printing, storing and managing still and motion images and offers front-line exposure to the exploding digital imaging market. Flash Forward 3.0 will take place at the all-new Innovations Plus at the Sands in the Galileo ballroom at the Sands Expo and Convention Center. Digital imaging products will be on display at several hot product TechZones spread through out Innovations Plus at the Sands. See how digital imaging products fit into the homes and cars of the future at the TechHome, Telematics and Connected Home Entertainment TechZones, and catch the latest information in digital storage at the SD Card Association TechZone.

CES 2006 - Digital media
On the show floor, all major digital imaging manufacturers will display their latest technologies and products at the 2006 International CES for the first time. Key exhibitors include Canon, Eastman Kodak, Fuji Photo Film, Hewlett-Packard, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Sony and Vivitar. On the educational front, the 2006 International CES offers several sessions dedicated to the digital imaging market. The CES digital imaging knowledge track focuses primarily on camera phones and other exciting imaging technologies that have exploded onto the market in recent years. Additionally, the CES Digital Media Training program provides more than 36 authorized training sessions in digital film and video editing, motion graphics, sound design, web design, DVD authoring and 3D animation from Future Media Concepts.

2006 CES International Awards
Finally, the popular CES awards programs will honor the best-of-the-best with award categories dedicated to the digital imaging industry. Innovations 2006 Design and Engineering Awards will honor the best designed digital imaging product, while the Technology is a Girl's Best Friend Diamond Product Showcase will highlight the digital imaging products with the features most-wanted by a female audience. CNET's Best of CES awards will honor the top digital imaging product debuted at CES in 2006.
