Konica Minolta X1 review at PhotographyBlog : DIWA member Mark Goldstein from PhotographyBLOG has reviewed the Konica Minolta DiMAGE X1 digital camera. The 8 Megapixel DiMAGE X1 is extremely compact and represents a fusion of Konica Minolta’s best imaging technologies including the revolutionary Anti-Shake technology and high-resolution movie clips, both a first for the Konica Minolta DiMAGE X line, to provide the best image quality possible. To accommodate the camera’s high resolution while keeping the body as slim as possible, the DiMAGE X1 employs a newly designed “non- protruding” 3x optical zoom lens. The Konica Minolta X1 is equipped with a large, 2.5-inch LCD monitor that features a Bright LCD backlight function.

DiMAGE X1 - In-depth view
According to Mark Goldstein :" The Konica Minolta DiMAGE X1 is fairly comfortable to hold. More problematic, at least until you become accustomed with the camera, is the way in which you grip it with your left hand. There is one innovative feature on the Konica Minolta DiMAGE X1 that aims to make life easier for you. This camera has an anti-shake system, turn it on and the Konica Minolta DiMAGE X1 automatically compensates for camera shake, which is a slight blurring of the image that typically occurs at slow shutter speeds."
Konica Minolta DiMAGE X1 - PhotographyBLOG review conclusion
Mark continues: " Focusing is very quick in good light, although the camera has a tendency to hunt around for focus indoors or in low-light situations, caused by the lack of a focus assist lamp. The Konica Minolta DiMAGE X1 produced images of average quality during the review period. Macro performance is very good with the Super Macro mode allowing you to focus as close as 5 cms away from the subject. You want to learn more about this Konica Minolta digital camera? About PhotographyBLOG
Mark Goldstein started his very active website PhotographyBlog in January 2003. At first the one and only purpose was to let this site function as one of those popular weblogs with Photography as main topic. But as we all know Photography is a pretty big subject to publish about so Mark decided to focus on some hot key points like mentioning all new introductions, reviews, reports from events like PMA and Photokina, sharing some impressive and creative photos and Mark's sole perspective of his feeling about this fascinating world of Digital Imaging. Mark is based in the UK, but his eagle-eye focuses global! Be sure to visit his weblog about Photography, in fact bookmark it, because we believe that Mark is pretty close to become an active and respected website. To us PhotographyBlog is one of the surprises of 2004/2005!
