Konica-MinoltaKonica Minolta 5D review : The Japanese company Konica Minolta is one of the last leading camera manufacturers to put an affordable digital SLR on the market. Currently they are doing their best to catch up and overtake their competitors. Not only by putting an excellent model on the digital camera market, but also by rapidly introducing a cheaper entry-level model. After all the Konica Minolta Dynax 5D was already announced within a year after the appearance of the Dynax 7D digital reflex camera. We have had the opportunity to thoroughly test this D-SLR camera and to form an opinion about it. The results can be read in our Konica Minolta Dynax 5D digital camera review.
Konica Minolta Dynax 5D reviewKonica Minolta 5D - Features
The new Dynax 5D provides exceptional quality images with a large, 6.1-megapixel (effective) CCD sensor, an Advanced LSI engine for high-speed image processing, as well as Konica Minolta's CxProcess III image proces-sing technology, an original technology highly acclaimed for rendering fine image detail and stunning color rendition. Offering a better view for better pictures, the camera also boasts a large 2.5-inch color LCD viewing screen that provides simple navigation through easy-to-use on-screen menus and set-up options. The LCD makes camera control even easier, displaying detailed camera settings as well as captured images. Boasting more than high performance, this new digital SLR camera also features a comfortably-contoured, compact design with a high-quality, stylish, and lightweight construction. Rubberized grips make it highly tactile and easy to handle and hold.

Konica Minolta Dynax 5D - Anti-Shake technology
Turn on the Konica Minolta Dynax 5D, make sure you have activated the Anti-Shake technology, and be amazed in what difficult lighting conditions you will be able to get that shot. Owners of the prosumers digital cameras like the DiMAGE A2 already dealt with the anti-shake technology, but now we can (finally) welcome Konica Minolta's first entry-level digital SLR camera with the same innovative feature...

Konica Minolta 5D - Easy to use functions
For even greater convenience and ease of use, the Dynax 5D includes an Digital Subject Program Selector, which automatically designates an optimum exposure and image-processing program for five commonly used photo scenes. The Konica Minolta Dynax 5D also offers a comprehensive range of easy-to-use functions that allow precision adjustments of all camera settings whatever the shooting situation. While high-performance functions satisfy the demanding and creative techniques of photography enthusiasts, the camera has at its core ease of use and simple operation with a basic level of control that makes it ideal even for novice users.

Konica Minolta Dynax 5D digital SLR camera review
You could say that the Dynax 5D is the third Konica Minolta digital SLR camera. One tends to forget that Konica Minolta, when they were still called Minolta, already pioneered with a digital reflex in the nineties, in cooperation with Agfa. It wasn't a very practical camera and it was rather massive and hard too handle. The Konica Minolta Dynax 5D is showing the result of the developments after the first one, achieved in a relatively short time span.
