 Brother color inkjet and laser printers announced : Brother International Corporation today announced a major expansion of its Imaging Product Line with solutions that extend from the home to the office network. The new products include a new personal color inkjet multifunction device, four business class monochrome laser printers, and Brother's first color laser MFP featuring some of the best credentials in its category. "These new introductions reflect our continuing commitment to delivering breakthrough imaging products," said Don Cummins, Vice President of Marketing at Brother. "We are excited about the launch of our first flatbed color laser MFP, which we believe will define a standard for multi-function color office printing.

The new monochrome printer laser introductions continue to address business desktop, wired and wireless office printing needs, while our new inkjet MFP continues our tradition of delivering a tremendous consumer value for users who also want the ability to print wirelessly. The Brother MFC-9420CN will be the industry's fastest color laser multifunction printer under $1000. The new flatbed all-in-one provides up to 31PPM black and 8PPM color laser output, plus features significant competitive advantages over other color laser MFPs in its price class. It also keenly addresses current market needs with the long life consumables and a built-in Ethernet interface. The Brother MFC-9420CN is a 5-in-1 MFP with functions for printing, copying, faxing, scanning, and PC faxing and will be available beginning in October 2005. The estimated street price will be $799.99.
Brother HL5200 - HL5240 - HL5250DN - HL5250DNT
The Brother HL-5200 Series, which includes the HL-5240 ($229), Brother HL-5250DN ($249), Brother HL-5250DNT ($299), and the 802.11b/g wireless-ready Brother HL-5280DW ($349) represents the new line of monochrome laser printers. Setting a new competitive standard for their class, these new models deliver a number of advantages to Brother's award-winning monochrome laser printers with fast up to 30PPM print speeds, higher print quality, and more expandable paper input capacity. The new models are slated for availability starting in November 2005, (HL-5280DW from January 2006).
Brother wireless and Ethernet interfaces
The Brother MFC-640cw extends the company's line of space-saving, color inkjet multi-function devices. It comes network-ready with built-in 802.11b/g wireless and Ethernet interfaces. The MFC-640cw also features SecureEasySetup, which automatically configures the wireless network and security settings in the MFC-640cw with a wireless router supporting SecureEasySetup. The new model will be available in November 2005. The estimated street price will be $199.99.
