LexarLexar USB flashdrive Secure II : Lexar Media, Inc. a leader in advanced digital media and accessories, today announced the availability of JumpDrive Secure II a second generation USB flash drive featuring 256-bit AES Encryption to secure folders and files so consumers can easily store and protect valuable files, data and images. Secure II offers a dashboard onscreen interface that makes it easy for consumers to navigate the drive's advanced security features. Users can quickly create secure files on either the USB drive or on the host computer using the new unique 'Encrypted Vault' feature. Secure the Secure II with on-the-fly 256-bit AES Encryption. When files are dragged out of the 'Encrypted Vault' they are automatically decrypt.

JumpDrive Secure II offers a sleek design that is about half the size of its predecessor, allowing for the best fit in virtually all USB ports. For total versatility and flexibility, JumpDrive Secure II software works on Windows 2000 SP4, Windows XP, Windows XP Home Edition, as well as Mac OS 10.2.7 or later versions, allowing consumers to access their secured files across Windows and Macintosh platforms. JumpDrive Secure II will be available in 256MB, 512MB, 1GB and 2GB capacities.

Another new feature of the Secure II software is the File Shredder that discards files including the 'digital trail' normally left behind when files are deleted. Files that have been deleted using the File Shredder feature are wiped out and cannot be recovered by file recovery tools.
