TrustedFlash offers mobile phone manufacturers like Samsung superior storage, security and content management capabilities on their handsets. These cards include the intelligent cryptographic engine needed for the storage of premium content, such as music, video, and games, on flash memory cards.

The TrustedFlash technology also opens up new capabilities for flash memory cards, such as recording mobile TV standards like DVB-H and DMB. TrustedFlash cards will also be used in mobile commerce applications in the future. Having TrustedFlash support will give users of Samsung’s mobile phones direct access to the most current content. These cards also provide easy access for consumers to purchase albums, games and videos, either through the Internet or through their wireless provider. The two companies worked closely together to integrate SanDisk’s TrustedFlash software development kit (SDK) into Samsung handsets.
