JetstreamJetstream IP core video products announced : Jetstream, a provider of Silicon Intellectual Property (SIP) solutions that enhance experience, today announced two new products JSX400 JetFx and JST400 JetTitle for adding video effects to consumer electronic devices. As consumers build growing libraries of digital content from camcorders, digital cameras, camera phones, DVD recorders and other devices, they are increasingly looking for the ability to edit and add special effects to their media content. Today, they have limited choices that involve video effects available on current devices, or the complex learning curve associated with PC based video capture and editing. Neither choice leaves the consumer with a satisfying experience.

"Consumers are looking for more capabilities to edit and add effects to their digital content without all the complexity and cost of PC based solutions," said Dr. Philip Chao, President and CEO of Jetstream Media Technologies. "At the same time, consumer electronics companies and their suppliers are under intense cost and time-to-market pressures that are often in conflict with the ability to provide these types of value-added features using traditional design approaches."

JSX400 JetFx - Real time video effects
JSX400 JetFx is the industry's first programmable real-time video effect IP core that can deliver real-time digital effects in a high performance, low power solution necessary for the consumer electronics market. Fully programmable, the JetFx IP core currently provides more than 100 different complex transitions and effects with support for virtually unlimited possibilities. Utilizing Jetstream Media Technologies' patent-pending PerfectTransform architecture, JetFx accomplishes all this while still offering a small silicon footprint, reduced design complexity and quick time-to-market required by equipment designers.

JST400 JetTitle - JSX400 JetFx core
JST400 JetTitle builds on the JSX400 JetFx core by adding a software API that enables a wide variety of real-time title animation. Optimized for embedded systems, JetTitle enables designers to add numerous animations such as 3D fly in, high lights, wipes, and rotations to their electronic devices.

About Jetstream Media Technologies
Jetstream Media Technologies was founded to fill the gap brought about by advances in semiconductor design and popularity of feature rich consumer digital imaging products. Consumers are growing their use of digital imaging technology every day. Camera phones, digital camcorders, DVD recorders, and digital cameras are all being used to compile a wide range of content that users want to edit and share. Today, editing that content and adding various effects is only available by 2 means: crude basic effects provided by today’s electronic devices, or time-consuming and difficult to handle computer-based video/image capture and editing. Most consumers have neither the skill nor desire to learn computer based effects editing and are, therefore, left with unsatisfying results.
