MobileMagMobileMag unveils Canon IXY Digital L3 camera : According to an article at MobileMag, the mobile technology magazine, Canon Japan has introduced a new Canon digital camera, the Canon IXY Digital L3. The new Canon Digital L3 camera is a follow-up of the Japanese model IXY Digital L2. Building on the L2 model the new Canon IXY L3 camera adds 2.4x optical zoom and embraces the perpetual curve design of its big brother, the Canon L2 camera. The sleek and compact Digital IXY Digital L3 comes with 5.0 Megapixels and DIGIC II processing for high image quality and a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface for fast transfer speeds. The supplied Camera Station allows easy connectivity to the personal computer, photo printer and television.

The Canon IXY Digital L3 will be available in an array of striking colors: Black, Gold, Red and Ultra-violet. A silky finish completes the look and feel of this ultimate digital accessory. A first for IXY Digital cameras, the Canon IXY Digital L3 now features a 2.4x (f/3.2 – f/5.4) optical zoom, with a high contrast Ultra High Refractive Index Aspherical lens for sharp results in a slim package. When combined with digital zoom, the Canon Digital L3 camera delivers 10x magnification.

Canon IXY L3 - Intelligent Orientation Sensor
The Canon IXY Digital L3 incorporates an Intelligent Orientation Sensor that automatically rotates images for review, regardless of the orientation of the camera. The sensor also activates the FUNC/SET button at the rear of the camera to act as the shutter release when it detects that the camera is in the vertical orientation. This allows the operator to shoot stills in portrait orientation, using one hand, whilst maintaining camera balance.
