MediaGearMediaGear XtraDrive sold at office depot stores : MediaGear announced today the availability of its popular "XtraDrive" keychain drives at all USA-based Office Depot stores. These next-generation XtraDrives will help satisfy the growing consumer demand for convenient USB flash drives that can be created from unused, but still valuable, memory cards. "Photographers, for example," noted Terry Smith, Director at MediaGear, "have an abundance of old memory cards that they no longer use because of their low megabyte storage capacity. The new XtraDrive product can now give these outdated memory cards a new life and valuable purpose as a fully-functional keychain drive." Retail price is: $9.99 MSRP. Available at all USA Office Depot store.

"Most new cameras come with a 16 or 32 MB card and photographers quickly move up to much higher capacities - especially now that prices are dropping," continued Smith. "The digital camera user can now pop these outdated flash memory cards into a compatible XtraDrive and easily load and transfer data or photos from computer to computer via the USB ports." The drives can accommodate most card formats including SD, MMC, Sony Memory Stick, Compact Flash Types I and II, MicroDrive, and XD Card.

MediaGear Keychain drives - 18” USB cable
An added bonus of the new generation of MediaGear Keychain drives is the inclusion of an 18" USB cable which helps to eliminate crowding of several drives together on a PC or notebook when existing slots may be too cramped for space.

XtraDrives - Great looking
"The new XtraDrives are great looking too. We went for see-through colorful, gem tone caps that are visually appealing, but more importantly it allows the user to see if their memory card is indeed already inserted into the drive," added Smith.
