SanDisk introduces Industrial Grade SD Cards

SanDiskSanDisk Corporation, the world's leading supplier of flash data storage products in consumer, OEM and industrial markets, today introduced a new line of Industrial Grade SD cards designed specifically for demanding applications where extreme durability, enhanced data integrity and exceptionally fast data read and write functionality are required. SanDisk Industrial Grade SD card users have the ability to update information at industry leading write speeds of up to 9 megabytes per second (MB/sec.), and access to data at read speeds up to 10MB/sec. SanDisk anticipates broad applications for the Industrial Grade SD card within manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, communications, networking, automotive and aviation market segments.
SanDisk introduces Industrial Grade SD Cards Industrial Grade SD cards are suited to serve the storage needs of today's industrial handheld device user who relies on consistent and reliable access to data from any location.

SanDisk is the only company that offers a complete line of Industrial Grade flash memory cards with industry leading performance, extreme endurance and enhanced reliability. All Industrial Grade cards must pass a stringent qualification and on going 'Industrial Test Process' including statistically-based quality control that measures all points of manufacture including memory, controller and final card test. Every SanDisk Industrial Grade memory card is guaranteed to exceed rigorous industrial application requirements.

SanDisk Industrial Grade SD cards offer:

- Extended operating temperature of -25 to 85 degrees Celsius
- Extended storage temperature of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius
- Card-level MTBF equal to over 2 million hours
- Widely adopted SD card architecture; more than 1000 products with SD slots
- 7 year extended warranty

SanDisk Industrial Grade SD cards are available now in capacities of 128MB and 256MB, with volume OEM pricing $50 and $100 respectively. Industrial Grade SD cards in 32MB, 64MB and 512MB capacities will be available in Q4. SanDisk offers other Industrial Grade Flash memory solutions in CompactFlash, PC Cards and 2.5 inch FlashDrive formats.
