RaytekRaytek MX6 Phototemp IR temperature : Range of -25 to 1600°F plus digital camera! Like other Raytek easy-to-use IR thermometers, all you have to do is aim the PhotoTemp, which features the True Dimension laser sighting system, at the object you want to measure and pull the trigger. When the trigger is released, a digital photograph is taken and stored along with the temperature data in the PhotoTemp MX’s memory. Up to 100 locations along an inspection route can be stored in the PhotoTemp MX6. The location, date, and time the temperature and photograph were taken are recorded onto each image. That information will then appear on each photograph for perfect documentation of the items measured and recorded.
Raytek MX6 Phototemp IR hand-heldPhotoTemp MX6 - Real time photo
The Raytek PhotoTemp MX6 real time photographic IR thermometer combines temperature measurement and digital photography. It can capture a real-time image of an object being measured while simultaneously and automatically recording the location, temperature, date and time the measurements were taken. The image and measurement information can then be easily downloaded into a computer for review and analysis and visually document the results of maintenance inspections.

Raytek hand held - Distance & temperature
You can be approximately 10 meters (33 feet) away from your target and take a photo and measurement of a 285mm (11 inch) spot. The PhotoTemp MX6 can measure temperatures as high as 1600º F (900º C) and as low as –25º F (-30º C) for a subzero model. Like the traditional MX thermometers, the PhotoTemp is available in a close focus model that can measure targets as small as .25 inch from 35 feet away.

Raytek MX6 Phototemp - Data transfer
The PhotoTemp MX6 is powered through the USB cable when it is connected to a computer. Since the PhotoTemp contains DataTemp MX software, you can download all the data and photos you stored in the PhotoTemp onto a computer. Once it’s in the computer, the inspection data can be viewed in a thumbnail photo or in tabular format that displays data and thumbnail photographs side-by-side. You can easily share, email or create reports for later reference or presentation to others by importing the inspection data and pasting the photos into standard file formats such as Excel or Access. A Thermocouple type K, USB cable, and DataTemp MX software are included. Subzero and close focus options are available at the same price.

MX6 Phototemp - Technology
Raytek infrared thermometers measure temperature from a distance by detecting the amount of thermal electromagnetic radiation emitted from the object being measured. This allows users to accurately measure surface temperatures in hazardous or hard-to-reach places, or other situations in which non-contact temperature measurement is desirable. Infrared thermometer technology is useful in a wide range of applications, including industrial, laboratory, food service, fire fighting, hobby and home use. While the technology is relatively simple, the myriad of names given to these devices can be confusing. “Laser Thermometers” makes reference to the laser that helps aim the thermometer. “IR Sensors” and “IR Thermometers” make use of a common abbreviation for “infrared”. “Non-Contact Thermometers” is descriptive of the device’s ability to measure temperature from a distance. “
