Situation of Konica Minolta in Europe

Konica-MinoltaWe just received some information about the situation of Konica and Minolta in Europe. Konica and Minolta in Europe are under process of integration and change of the company name according to legal requirements on a country by country basis. Some of the European companies have completed their corporate registration as of October 1st, 2003. Newly integrated companies have reorganised their operations in the fields of Business Technologies Products, Photo Imaging and Camera. Medical Graphic business and Instruments Systems are reorganised in newly established Photo Imaging and Camera companies. The newly integrated European headquarters plan to complete their legal registration in January 2004. Details are as follows:
Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe GmbH
Description of Business: European headquarter for sales and marketing of MFP & facsimile products, service and support
Location : Langenhagen, Germany
Corporate Representative: Mr. Akio Kitani, President
Corporate Registration: To be completed by end of January 2004

Konica Minolta Printing Solutions Europe B.V.
Description of Business: European headquarter for sales and marketing of
printer products, service and support
Location: Nieuwegein, The Netherlands
Corporate Representative: Mr. Kanji Wada, Managing Director
Corporate Registration: 1st October 2003

Konica Minolta Photo Imaging Europe GmbH
Description of Business: European headquarter for marketing and sales of photo imaging, Camera, medical graphic products and instruments system products, service and support, as well as sales, marketing, service and support in Germany
Location: Munich, Germany
Corporate Representative: Mr. Kazuhiko Ochi, President Corporate Registration: To be completed by end of January 2004

The business reorganisation in Europe is completely based on the global corporate reorganisation of Konica Minolta Holdings. Inc. released on 1st October 2003. Under the worldwide new management visions; "Innovative corporation that continues to create impressions in the field of imaging" and "A global market leader that offers advanced technology and reliability", the reorganisation of European subsidiaries aim to strengthen the brand competitiveness in the market and to achieve top players' positioning in the main business area by maximising the synergy effect of Konica & Minolta.
