SamsungSamsung Digimax i5 at New York Times Square : Next time you're in New York City, swing by Times Square and feast your eyes on Samsung's 45-foot x 40-foot Supersign, located directly below the New Year's Eve Crystal Ball. Till September 15th, the Digimax i5 will be featured on the colossal screen, where millions of visitors will be able to see the ultra-slim, 5 mega pixel digital camera. Displayed as part of the "Experience the Toys of Summer" program offered by the Samsung Experience, the Digimax i5, along with various other Samsung products including camcorders, are available for a real-life trial, where the public will actually be able to take the products out on the street and capture their own New York memories.
Samsung Digimax i5 at New York Times SquareSamsung i5 - Body
The Samsung Digimax i5 is the first Samsung product to incorporate inner zoom technology, which give the camera its slim (17.3mm) design. Unlike the competing products, the body is made of stainless steel, which has exceptional durability against scratches and shocks. The product is available in fashionable silver, red, black and gray colors. The stylish mini Digimax i5 from Samsung has a beautiful design and great image quality. Special features of the Digimax i5 include an efficient video mode, internal memory, a pleasantly large LCD colour screen and a Safety Flash function. These new features all together will provide blur-free photographs without lightning.

Samsung Digimax i5 - Features
The 1.7 cm flat Digimax i5 from Samsung features 3x optical zoom (39-117 mm/F3.5-4.5 equivalent of a 35mm camera), a 5-Megapixel-CCD-Chip and on-board electronics fully packed with functions. The new Samsung camera can make videos in VGA resolution, with an image rate of 30 frames per second, thanks to MPEG-4, which uses less storage on SecureDigital cards and MultiMediaCards. Forgot to take your memory card with you? You can always use the 50MB built-in memory of the Samsung Digimax i5.

Samsung i5 digital camera - Large LCD monitor
Further features and functions of the Korea Winzlings include a large 2.5" colour LCD screen, with a resolution of 230.000 pixels, a whole set of scene modes (e.g. for images of children or fireworks), various filter effects (B/W, Sepia, colour effects) and editing functions (cut/turn/decrease images), an auto focus with macro and super macro function (minimum distance: 1 cm), various white balance settings (automatic, pre-setting, manual), adjustable ISO sensitivity settings (automatic or manual to ISO 400) and a housing made of high quality aluminium.

Samsung Digimax i5 - Pricing & Availability
The restricted amount of control buttons on only two buttons and four switches around the display is to permit a simple operation of the camera. Also the Samsung i5 features its own docking station. The Samsung i5 uses a 3.7V Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery of the type SLB-0737 and is PictBridge compatible USB-2.0. The Samsung Digimax i5 is available at a suggested retail price of 350 Euros.
