Boasting 8.0 million pixels, the ultra-compact model has plenty of resolving muscle in store, even for large-format prints. Coupled with an accurate autofocus and precision 3x zoom lens, images gleam with its sharpness and vitality. On top of 24 scene modes, P/A/S/M exposure modes are also available for complete flexibility in virtually any photographic situation. The ergonomic, ultra-compact SP-350 camera additionally features a histogram function that lets exposure distribution be shown in both shooting and playback modes directly on the extra-large 6.4cm LCD.

And for those still looking for more versatility, the possibilities can be easily further extended with a whole host of accessories including lens converters and an underwater case plus flash units that simply clip on the Olympus SP-350’s hot-shoe mount. With a big 8 Megapixels packed in the SP-350, there’s no questioning its ability to capture crisp images in the finest of detail. A precision 3x zoom lens system (1:2.8-4.9, equiv. to 38-114mm on a 35mm camera), with exceptional resolving power is on board to meet the high-definition demands of this model.

Olympus SP-350 - Razor-sharp image capture
Three aspherical lenses enhance light transmissivity and diminish reflection, while lens multi-coating helps to avoid ghosting and flaring. The range of focusing options includes regular iESP autofocus, spot AF and multi-spot AF, selectable from 143 points. Of course, manual focusing is also possible. In addition, TruePic TURBO ensures that image data is processed fast and faithfully. Results can be viewed on the extra-large LCD featuring an impressive 6.4cm diagonal.

Olympus SP-350 - Extensive photographic settings
Everyone knows, that for seriously creative photographic pursuits, it is essential to have the freedom to adjust the exposure parameters individually. That’s why on top of automatic shooting options and 24 scene modes, the Olympus SP350 provides for manual control. Whether using Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority or the full manual mode, the results attainable are virtually only limited by one’s imagination. Expert users even have a histogram function on hand that not only shows exposure information in playback mode, but also in real time while framing compositions. Auto Bracketing allows photographers the comfort of capturing five shots in quick succession, each with exposure values set-off in 1/3 EV step increments. And for storing the users’ most favoured overall camera settings for instant retrieval, four special user-defined "My Mode" folders are available.

Olympus SP-350 camera - Optional accessories
Macro shooting enthusiasts are also catered for, the Super Macro mode enables shots from as little as 2cm. Naturally, the camera incorporates a movie recording function with sound. The action is captured at 30fps and in VGA quality, with recording length only limited by the available memory capacity. Optional accessories gives the SP-350 a further edge. Users can greatly extend the camera capabilities with the new lens converters Olympus WCON-07F for wide 27mm perspectives or the Olympus TCON-17F for 193mm tele views (focal length figures refer to equivalents on 35mm cameras / use of conversion lenses require the Olympus CLA-09 lens adapter). An underwater case is available too, providing photographers with shooting versatility in a unique dimension. The Olympus SP-350 is also equipped with a hot-shoe connector for the effortless attachment of external flash units such as the Olympus FL-20.

Ergonomic handling with pro-level features
Remarkably compact and lightweight yet with a very robust feel, the SP-350 fits snugly in the hand thanks to its unique, ergonomic form. The lack of bulk makes it ideal for taking along on holidays to make the most out of every shooting opportunity. The possibility to use standard AA-sized (LR6) or high-performance CR-V3 batteries means photographers never need to be caught short of power. Moreover, this camera has immense stamina: the included CR-V3 battery pack, which comes with the camera, lasts for more than 500 shots. Besides JPEG, pictures can also be stored in RAW format which records image data exactly as it was captured without further processing, providing users total control during any subsequent editing. The pictures are saved on either the 25MB internal memory or on optional xD-Picture Cards. And for camera-to-PC downloading, or sending files to a printer, this models is USB Hi-Speed compatible for extremely fast data transfer. Due to PictBridge support, PC-free printing on compatible printers such as the new Olympus P-11 photo printer with a printing speed of just 33 seconds, is also a cinch.
