 Webshots surpasses 250 Million photos mark : Webshots a leading online photo sharing Web site and a property of CNET Networks, Inc. today announced that on Sunday, August 7th, 2005, the 250 millionth digital photo was uploaded to its site, making Webshots the largest public photo library available online. With this milestone, Webshots, which attracts a vast community of people from around the world to help them express and entertain themselves as well as connect with others to share their common interests and passions, has seen its online digital photo library triple in size over the last year. Webshots, established in 1995, is the largest and one of the fastest-growing online photo sharing communities on the Internet.

250 millionth digital photo uploaded
The 250 millionth photo was uploaded to Webshots by Geoffrey Dela Cruz, who used the site to share photos of his cousin's wedding. To celebrate this milestone, Dela Cruz won a brand new 5 mega-pixel digital camera and custom merchandise from the Webshots online store. "I have friends and family all over the United States and I have friends serving in Iraq. Webshots brings us closer together by helping me share the pictures I have of all the fun times we've had together," said Dela Cruz.
