PhotographyBlogPhotographyBlog Nikon D70s digital camera review : Our friend Mark Goldstein from PhotographyBlog has reviewed the latest Nikon digital SLR. The new Nikon D-SLR which inherits the image quality, high performance and user-friendliness of the award-winning D70 while introducing elements that help photographers further exploit their creative potential to the full. The D70s uses the Nikon DX Format sensor and Nikon F lens mount design shared by all Nikon SLR cameras for seamless compatibility with all AF Nikkor lenses, as well as the expanding family of high quality DX Nikkor lenses. Designed and built to exacting standards, every aspect of the Nikon D70s' functionality has been optimized to keep the photographer on top of the action.
Nikon D70s SLR camera review at PhotographyBlogPhotographyBlog - In-depth view
According to Mark Goldstein: "On first impressions the Nikon D70s is a solid piece of kit, with a chunky handgrip and a "business-like" design that is functional rather than pretty. This isn't one of the new breed of digital SLR cameras that aim to be as small as possible, the D70s is designed for large hands. This is partly because the D70s is one of the more complex DSLRs available in terms of functionality and the number of external controls that it offers, with over 25 in total and many of them having more than one function."

PhotographyBlog - Conclusion
"The Nikon D70s offers a wealth of features, fast and accurate operation and solid build quality at a price point that would have been difficult to believe only a couple of years ago. Negative points are few - it "only" has 6 Megapixels (although this is more of a marketing thing than anything else), the Multi Selector arrow-pad is spongy and unresponsive, and the shutter release mechanism is on the noisy side," says Mark, owner/editor of PhotographyBlog. About PhotographyBlog
Mark Goldstein started his very active website PhotographyBlog in January 2003. At first the one and only purpose was to let this site function as one of those popular weblogs with Photography as main topic. But as we all know Photography is a pretty big subject to publish about so Mark decided to focus on some hot key points like mentioning all new introductions, reviews, reports from events like PMA and Photokina, sharing some impressive and creative photos and Mark's sole perspective of his feeling about this fascinating world of Digital Imaging. Mark is based in the UK, but his eagle-eye focuses global! Be sure to visit his weblog about Photography, in fact bookmark it, because we believe that Mark is pretty close to become an active and respected website. To us PhotographyBlog is one of the surprises of 2004/2005!
