SonySony Cybershot S90 review : Sony decided at the beginning of this year that it was time to introduce a complete new line of digital cameras and thus Sony came out with the new S-series of digital cameras during the PMA (digital Imaging event in the U.S.A.) in February 2005. The Sony Cybershot DSC-S90 is the top model of this line. Equipped with a Carl Zeiss lens, a 3x optical zoom combined with a beautiful size LCD monitor and the unique Stamina technology gives this Sony Cybershot S90 some interesting specifications to play with. The Sony S-series is aiming at the starting photographer, so anyone should be able to simply and easily operate the S-line digital cameras.
Sony Cybershot S90 reviewSony Cyber-shot S90 - LCD monitor
The huge LCD monitor is a joy and a great advantage on a digital camera. Not only is it a lot easier to use as a viewfinder, but also it is a lot easier to share pictures with others and the menu is so much more organized and arranged. In earlier days doubts would rise about the use of a monitor in summertime, the Sony Cybershot S90 proves differently. The 2.5 inch monitor works perfectly under bright sunlight. Besides user-friendliness, speed is another trump of Sony.

Sony S90 - Real Image Processor
New techniques such as the application of the Sony Real Image Processor have to ensure that pictures are sharper and with rich detail. These techniques also add to get a faster response of the camera and a faster way of processing the images. The images are stored on an external Memory Stick or if required on the internal memory of 32MB. Besides the possibility of taking still images, Sony of course provided the camera with the possibility of recording a high quality movie in MGEP VX Fine.

Sony DSC S90 - Easy to operate
With a resolution of 4 Megapixels and a 3x optical zoom plus an excellent movie recording function on board, the Sony S90 offers an outstanding combination to a large group of consumers that desire ease of operation and a fine quality without having to worry about photographic 'rules'. The Sony S90 isn't the most compact size digital camera available, or the lightest one in weight. In fact it's a camera design that we are all familiar with for years, modern styled but very much recognizable as a camera.
