 Fujifilm Euro Press Professional Awards 2006 : Fujifilm Euro Press Professional Awards 2006 announced 60,000 Euro prize money shall recognize excellent photography. The best photos from all of Europe will again be awarded prizes at the Euro Press Professional Awards. Fujifilm is continuing the tradition of this pan-European photo competition which has been running since 1992 and calls upon professional photographers to take part with their current work. In the current competition the four categories which have been announced are Sport, Wildlife, Digital Photo Composing and Night Life. Excellent photography has a particular quality and should be recognized with generous prize money.

 Fujifilm - 60,000 Euro prize money
The finale of the Fujifilm Euro Press Professional Awards will take place in Bratislava in the spring of 2006. Here the winners of the national preliminary rounds will be competing. The interna- tional prize winners of each category will receive 10,000 Euro apiece and the title “Fujifilm Euro Press Professional Photographer of the Year 2006”. An independent jury of famous photo- graphers and photojournalists will carry out the decision-making. The winners in each category of the German preliminary round will receive a check for 5,000 Euro each.
Euro Press Professional Awards - Conditions of participation
The Fujifilm Euro Press Professional Awards 2006 are open to professional photographers. Photos must have been taken during the period from January 1, 2005 through January 1, 2006. Up to 10 slides or prints may be submitted for each category. For the national round, prints may be no smaller than DIN A4. For the international finale, prints must measure 50 x 70 cm and be printed on Fujifilm paper. Furthermore, entries may not have already received prizes at other photo competitions. The closing date for the national round is January 10, 2006.
Fujifilm Press Professional - Sport and Wildlife
Sport: Action photos, which show dynamic, fastness and power!(Photos which are presenting sports competition from an extraordinary point of view) and Wildlife: Nature photography with focus on photos of animals (From macro shots via portraits of animals to the panorama of a terrific landscape, which forms the habitat of the animals. Photos, which present living nature to us on unusual photos pointing out its indispensable value in our world.)
Fujifilm - Digital photo composing and Night life
Digital Photo Composing: We are looking for photos, for which the means of digital photo composing are applied in an intelligent way. A new and convincing work is created by means of intuitive composition. The point is to translate abstract thoughts into topical photos or to find a new unusual interpretation of something well-known. And the last category is Night Life: Photos at night. The beauty of the night. People, places, our cities?.. Photos, which show everything that turns nights into appealing and mystical events.
