DigiCamReview.co.uk reviews Sony Cybershot L1 : August 2004, just before Photokina, Germany, began Sony introduced an ultra-compact digital camera, the Sony Cybershot L1. At that time it was a challenge to the Sony engineers, pack 4.1 Megapixels, 3x optical zoom into a stylish package with the size of a candy bar. Nowadays, we see more and more digital camera that are very small or ultra-thin like the Sony Cybershot T7. Our friends at DigiCamReview have published their review of the Sony Cybershot L1 digital camera. The Sony L1 was the first digital camera delivering a 1.5-inch transflective LCD, making is easier to see what's on the LCD even in bright sunlight. It also has a new Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3x optical zoom lens.

DigiCamReview.co.uk - Review
According to Joshua Waller, editor of the DigiCamReview web site: "The camera is easy to use, although the camera does have a lot of options and features. The controls on the back of the camera are fairly easy to use. The camera is ultra-compact although not as compact as other ultra-compact cameras.", "The buttons are labelled fairly well. I thought the camera felt good ergonomically. Some people may find the buttons too small. I found the 4-way joypad to be a bit spikey, especially when in pockets."
DigiCamReview.co.uk - Conclusion
DigiCamReview concludes that "The camera produces rich vibrant saturated colours and is capable of producing some very pleasing images. The camera gives you good control by allowing you to change the saturation, sharpness, and contrast of the picture. There are some problems, such as the expensive proprietry memory format, the slightly soft images, small screen, and tripod adapter, however the ease of use, speed of use, and high pocketability make up for most problems?."
