ArcSoftArcSoft TotalMedia now available : ArcSoft announced the availability of ArcSoft TotalMedia, a comprehensive multimedia application complete with television, DVD, video editing, photo enhancing, and music/radio features for Windows. With Electronic Program Guide (EPG) support and a "time-shifting" feature, consumers can scan network broadcast schedules, program future recordings, pause and resume live TV. "TotalMedia offers value to a whole range of device bundles, including PCs, DVD drives, TV tuner cards, and DV cameras," said Todd Rumaner, ArcSoft COO. "The program offers a complete multimedia solution while maintaining a usability that makes it accessible to consumers of all levels."

Unlike the current crop of applications that support EPG, TotalMedia allows scheduling and recording directly from the program user interface. In addition, consumers can schedule program recordings two weeks in advance. These recorded materials can easily be burned to DVD, freeing hard drive space so more shows can be recorded. TotalMedia's features extend far beyond television and video to include photo and audio, and even combinations of all of the above multimedia categories. For example, the program offers convenient photo editing tools and a variety audio CD ripping and creation tools.

• Teletext EPG support in a variety of countries
• Pause/resume live TV
• DVD and VCD disc creation: burn TV shows, captured videos, and photo slide shows
• Capture both digital and analog video; create your own DVD movies
• Rip audio CDs into your MP3 library
• Create custom audio playlists and playback with visualization
• Transfer files to connected mobile devices, including PocketPCs and Smartphones
• Automatically remove redeye from your photos
• Edit and enhance photos in a variety of ways (auto enhance, crop, rotate, etc.)
• Watch your favorite DVDs with Dolby Digital support

Pricing & Availability
ArcSoft TotalMedia is currently available for OEM bundling. The stand-alone retail version with EPG support will be released at the end of summer. The suggested retail price is US $79.99.
