RolleiRollei 50mm f2.8 lens introduction : Rollei, manufacturer of the classic twin-lens 6x6 Rolleiflex, announced a new Schneider-Kreuznach high speed, versatile AF lens for the Rollei 6008 family of high-end professional cameras. The ruggedly built AF Super-Angulon HFT PQS interchangeable auto focus lens features a high speed f/2.8 lens for a brilliant viewfinder image and a classical 50 mm wide-angle focal length. The new high performance lens will be available beginning this week in the U.S. for $4,499. The AF Super-Angulon is the fourth AF lens launched by Rollei for their Rolleiflex 6008 AF cameras. The 6008 AF is Rollei’s top-of-the-line offering in a family of products Rollei is rolling out in the U.S.
Rollei 50mm f2.8 lens introductionRollei 6008 - Highly reliable
The Rollei 6000 family offers a wide choice of interchangeable lenses that have a wide maximum aperture and between-the-lens shutters that are fully synchronized over their entire speed range. They feature crisp sharpness, high color fidelity and exceptional reliability. The lens are driven by Rollei’s Direct-Drive technology for maximum performance. With this system, two linear motors drive the diaphragm and shutter blades, and the camera’s microcomputer controls them with the utmost precision in one-third increments.

Rollei 50mm lens - For professionals
A gold-plated 10-pin contact strip transfers the control pulses from camera body to lens, without friction or wear and with lighting speed. The new lens is targeted to studio and on-location professionals, from portrait, fashion and landscape photographers, to photojournalists, and corporate/ government photographers involved in “workflow” photography. The Schneider-Kreuznach lens is part of Rollei’s integration strategy for its product family. This means that photographers can benefit from new developments without having to outsource for lenses and accessories. This integration not only saves photographers valuable time in selecting and ordering products, but it also prevents product obsolescence.
