LexmarkLexmark International, Inc. today introduced the Lexmark PrinTrio Photo P3150, its first sub-$100 All-In-One with built-in camera card slots. This powerful, easy-to-use tool meets the needs of all consumers looking to generate, replicate and share photos. On-board camera card readers enable digital camera enthusiasts to quickly retrieve images and generate brilliant borderless 4"x 6" and 8.5" x 11" prints, while the 48-bit flatbed scanner allows users to easily incorporate traditional photos into their digital worlds. Marketing research firm InfoTrends Research Group recently announced findings that indicated sales of digital cameras would nearly replace the sale of reloadable film cameras by 2008.
The PrinTrio Photo complements virtually all digital cameras, supporting CompactFlash I & II, SmartMedia, Memory Stick, Secure Digital, MultiMedia, and Microdrive memory cards. Digital camera owners can insert memory cards into the unit directly, and within minutes edit, save and print their photographs. The PrinTrio Photo's flexible flatbed scanner captures the finest detail, with 48-bit color depth and 600 x 1200 pixels per inch (ppi) optical resolution, offering customers the opportunity to convert traditional photographs into digital pictures.

Lexmark's integrated Photo Editor software ships with the PrinTrio Photo and allows users to perform commonly sought-after image editing: Red-eye reduction, simply scan the image, follow the easy steps in the built-in software and then reprint. Crop and resize photos, within minutes, transform a 4" x 6" photo into wallet-sized pictures or larger sizes suitable for framing and great for gift giving. Photo enhancements, just a few mouse-clicks can adjust the contrast and brightness of your photos.

With the PrinTrio Photo, the creative possibilities are endless, allowing users to organize and share memories with a host of easy-to-navigate applications.
Consumers can: create reprints with the touch of a button, design and print scrapbook pages, develop an online photo album, and generate a PC-enabled slide show.

Designed for easy operation, the PrinTrio Photo is so straightforward that any member of the family can tap into its sophisticated feature set. Minimal buttons and a compact, low-profile design make it simple for a seated user to operate. In addition, to help ensure the best possible output, Lexmark’s PrecisionSense™ media sensing technology automatically adjusts the driver according to the paper type being fed through the input tray.

Also, the PC-enabled copier allows customers to make reprints quickly and easily – with just the touch of one button.

Capable of achieving photo lab quality prints, the PrinTrio Photo offers up to 4800x1200dpi resolution on photo paper, six-color support and borderless print capability in a variety of popular sizes. Capable of generating a 4" x 6" print in about 60 seconds, customers will appreciate its efficient performance when time is of the essence.

The PrinTrio Photo, which includes a color and photo cartridge in the box, has an estimated street price of $99. It will begin shipping soon and will be sold in popular retailers.
