Shutterfly today announced the appointment of Patricia Schoof as Vice President of Human Resources. She will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s human resources capabilities including recruiting diverse talent, compensation, benefits, organizational design, leadership development and workplace culture. Schoof will report to Shutterfly’s President and CEO, Jeffrey Housenbold. “Pat Schoof is a dedicated professional with a terrific track record of aligning human resources with business strategy in rapid-growth global companies,” said Jeffrey Housenbold.

Schoof brings more than 20 years of experience in human resources. Most recently, Patricia Schoof was Vice President of Human Resources at Salesforce.com, where she helped guide the company's organizational design, practices and policies, as it grew from an early stage company to an international organization. Prior to joining Salesforce.com, Schoof held senior human resources positions for several large global organizations including the role of Vice President of Human Resources at Navisite, Vice President of Human Resources at Network Associates (now McAfee) and Senior Human Resources Manager at DHL. Previous experience included human resources positions within The North Face and Esprit de Corp. Schoof earned her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Santa Clara University.

Jeff Housenbold is responsible for managing the company's strategic direction and growth. Housenbold joins Shutterfly from eBay, where he most recently served as vice president of business development and Internet marketing. Jeff managed customer acquisition and retention over the past three years as eBay grew from 42 million registered users to 135 million and the gross merchandise value accelerated from $9 billion dollars annually to $34.2 billion. Housenbold's broad eBay experience also includes positions as vice president and general manager of its business-to-consumer group and vice president of mergers and acquisitions.

Jeff also held senior management roles at AltaVista, including vice president and general manager and was the chief operating officer of Raging Bull, the award-winning community finance portal. Previously, Housenbold served as vice president of corporate development at WinStar Communications, Inc. and manager and founding member of Accenture’s Media & Entertainment Strategy Group. Housenbold earned his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School; and his undergraduate degrees, with High Honors in Economics and Business Administration, from Carnegie Mellon University.
