Rollei Prego dp5500 - Zoom
With a 5megapixel CCD, a 3x zoom lens and a 4x digital zoom, the Rollei dp5500 already is in the top of its class where image resolution counts. This not only paves the way for high-quality A3 printouts - a zoom range of 32-98mm (equivalent 35mm focal lengths) and variable maximum apertures of f/2.8-4.8 also guarantee true-to-life photos of rich detail in practically any situation. To give just one example, the Rollei Prego dp5500 will provide outstanding close-ups from 6 to 50 cm.
Rollei dp5500 digital camera - Features
If you want to leave focus control to the camera, just use autofocus for excellent results from as close as 0.50 cm. With 1.8 inch, the TFT color monitor is generously dimensioned and makes for easy framing and checking of camera settings. But if fast-paced action is called for, you will also appreciate the camera's real-image optical zoom viewfinder. Your Prego dp5500 leaves a wide margin of creativity with practical features such as a self-timer with 3 or 10-second delay, single-frame or continuous shooting and, last but not least, the option of recording brief video clips or a spoken commentary. The video clips will be stored with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and 20 frames per second, either in the 16MB internal memory or on an SD card with a capacity of up to 512 MB. Image quality can be set to Fine, Standard or Economy to save memory space and make allowance for the intended use of the recording.
Rollei Prego dp5500 - Camera modes
Many of the camera's modes can simply be entrusted to its automatic control. However, manual override is just as easy. Thus, there are Forced, Off and Red-eye Reduction modes for flash as well as Daylight, Cloudy, Tungsten, Fluorescent and Sunset presets for white balance. Exposure compensation is possible in 1/3 increments over a range of 2.0 EV. And whatever manual setting you have in mind, the practical control dial on the camera's top plate will make it a cinch. If you wish to edit or simply view your pictures, transfer them to a computer or your TV set via a USB cable or the cameras video port, or simply print them out. The recommended retail price is set on: Euro 199.- (incl. VAT). The Ricoh Prego dp6000 will be available in June 2005.
