OurPicturesOurPictures new software including PictureSafe : OurPictures announced today that the company has launched a new version of their award-winning software complete with several groundbreaking new features and services including OurPictures PictureSafe. Unlike other services available to consumers, OurPictures PictureSafe automatically archives and backs up entire digital photo collections, keeping them safe from computer viruses, theft and computer crashes. To coincide with the new software launch, OurPictures also announced an expanded retail print network that includes an agreement with digital image processing solutions provider Silverwire to leverage the company’s thousands of independent networked photofinishers and retail chains.
OurPictures new software including PictureSafeOurPictures - Keep digital photos safe
"OurPictures is committed to developing products that meet the needs of consumers and our newly expanded network of retailers and revolutionary new service OurPictures PictureSafe take that consumer commitment to a whole new level," said John Paul, President and CEO of OurPictures. "Giving consumers more choices and providing them with the peace of mind that digital photos are safe from harm are just some of the many ways that OurPictures is creating software applications that really speak to mass-market consumers."

OurPictures - Behind the scenes
According to leading digital imaging research firm InfoTrends, only about 46% of digital camera users have a long-term archival plan for their digital photos. "The new OurPictures PictureSafe service really addresses an industry-wide photo storage and archiving dilemma by offering a solution for consumers that addresses the issue head on. The best part is that OurPictures does all of the work behind-the-scenes without the consumer having to worry about a thing," said Jill Aldort, a Consultant with InfoTrends.

OurPictures PictureSafe - Backs up and detects lost images
OurPictures PictureSafe automatically backs up and detects lost images due to accidental deletion, viruses, and other catastrophic failures. When pictures need to be restored, the user has the ability to restore their lost images on demand over the OurPictures Network. As media standards evolve another key feature of the service is that OurPictures will convert the consumers' images from jpeg to the next media standard, ensuring that the pictures will be saved for future generations to come. Space for 1,000 pictures is included as part of the Deluxe Edition and additional space can be purchased separately. In addition, OurPictures is offering consumers even more choices when it comes to the online ordering of digital photo prints by adding Wal-Mart, Costco and Longs Drugs to their retail network, which now includes more than 25,000 doors.

OurPictures - Features
• Cards & Gifts (Merchandise) - Produce cards for holidays and events or create photo books from your favorite photos, complete with captions, a protective cover and clear spiral binding.
• Search - An extremely fast new search feature allows the user to quickly find the pictures they’re looking for, whether their collection consists of 1,000 or 20,000 pictures. Users can find photos by their captions and search by keywords. Images can easily be searched for by date, time, if they were printed or shared with a particular person.

OurPictures software - Two versions
OurPictures software comes in two programs including a Free Starter Edition that gives consumers everything they need in order to share, print, organize and edit digital photos in addition to buying merchandise. The company’s Premium Deluxe Edition comes standard with unlimited sharing, the OurPictures PictureSafe service, PictureSafe Anywhere, which provides users with access to their pictures on the web from a remote computer and OurPictures Mobile, a camera phone application that gives people the power to effortlessly share photos from their mobile phones. The Starter Edition is free and the Deluxe Edition is $2.99/month or $29.99/annually. The program can be downloaded from the OurPictures Web site.
