 2004 International CES nr. 1 Tradeshow in the USA : The 2004 International CES, the annual tradeshow for consumer technology, topped the Tradeshow Week 200 list, making it the largest tradeshow in the United States and Canada as ranked by Tradeshow Week magazine. For the first time, the 2004 International CES beated the two largest bi-annual shows, Pack Expo and the International Manufacturing Technology Show. The International CES also topped two annual shows, SEMA and the August World Shoe Association Show, to take top honors in the list of annual tradeshows for the fourth year in a row. The top five largest tradeshows in order are: 2004 International CES, Pack Expo, International Manufacturing Technology, SEMA and the WSA Show.

"This ranking reveals the breadth and depth of the dynamic CE industry on display each year at the International CES. 2004 International CES - Largest show ever
The 2004 show, held January 8-11, was the largest ever in terms of attendance and square footage in the 38-year history of the show. Audit numbers from VERIS Consulting showed attendance jumped 13 percent over 2003 numbers to a total of 132,853 attendees and the show floor expanded by 14 percent to a total of 2,474 exhibitors in nearly 1.4 million net square feet of exhibit space.
2004 International CES - Expansion to the Sands in 2006
"By all measures, 2004 was a fantastic show, and with more than 1.5 million net square feet of space, the 2005 International CES was a phenomenal success as well," said Karen Chupka, vice president of events and conferences, CEA. "With our expansion to the Sands in 2006, we are looking forward to the continued growth of CES as the major launch pad for consumer technologies and the place to network with the best and the brightest in the industry."

The Sands will serve as the new destination for Innovations Plus at the 2006 International CES. Innovations Plus at the Sands will house the prestigious Innovations Award honorees, numerous vertical market TechZones, the digital home recording showcase, Studio@Home, and several international delegations. An enhanced and expanded CES Unveiled: The Official Press Event of CES, plus new partner programs and industry insider presentations also will find a home at the Sands in 2006.
2006 International CES – Las Vegas
The 2006 International CES will be held Thursday, January 5 through Sunday, January 8, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Sands Expo and Convention Center and the Alexis Park in Las Vegas, Nevada. CES Unveiled: The Official Press Event of CES will take place at the Sands on January 3, 2006.
