Yashica EZ5030 digital camera introduction : Somewhere out there Yashica is still releasing digital cameras. According to some information circling around Yashica is going to release a new 5 Megapixel digital camera, Yashica EZ5030. This new digital camera is equipped with a 5 Megapixel CCD sensor and a 3x optical zoom lens. The compact digital camera is mainly designed for entry-level user, so called point-and-shoot photographers. Due to its small dimensions, measuring only 95 x 65 x 34mm and a weight of 165 grams (without Secure Digital card and batteries), the Yashica EZ5030 is small enough to take it with you where ever you go. The price tag for this new Yashica digital camera is $399.

Yashica EZ5030 - Features
The compact Yashica EZ5030 has a 3x optical zoom lens with a focal length of 34 - 102mm. The minimum focus dis- tance is 50cm to infinity. Additional the Yashica EZ5030 offers a 3x digital zoom. Users who are interested in Macro mode are able to activate this mode, focus from 15 to 50cm and discover the world of macro photography. The new Yashica EZ5030 digital camera mainly operates in automatic mode, but is also offering three metering settings: centre-weighted average, multi-zone and spot metering.
Yashica EZ5030 - Entry-level user settings
The new Yashica model is offering a 5 Megapixel resolution. Of course more resolution settings are available. Five image size settings (JPEG) are provided for still pictures: 2560 x 1920, 2560 x 1712, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200 and 640 x 480 (VGA) pixels. Beside able capturing still pictures the Yashica EZ5030 captures movie clips at 320 x 240 pixels with a frame rate of 20 frames per second. Shutter speed range from 2 seconds to 1/2000 seconds and can be controlled more detailed with exposure compensation of +/- 2EV with 0.3 steps increments. The captures images and the provided information of the menu can be viewed on the 1.8-inch monitor on the back of the Yashica EZ5030 digital camera. The camera records the captures images or video clips on 16MB internal memory or on a Secure Digital or MultiMedia flash card. For power the Yashica EZ5030 uses two AA batteries (NiMH or alkaline) or a Lithium CV-3 battery.
