From image capture through to image output, we are committed to manufacturing the finest products in the world. We are delighted with this recognition from the TIPA members.”
Canon PIXMA iP8500 Photo Printer awardedCanon best A4 photo printer
Voted as the best photo printer of the year 2005, the Canon PIXMA iP8500 was described by the judges as putting “unprecedented image quality and speed in the hands of photographic professionals.” The reasons given for the award included the printer’s capacity to print a full A4 photo “in just 35 seconds,” without compromising its “superb” image quality. Canon’s speed and quality is made possible through its patented FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) technology.

Canon PIXMA iP8500 - ChromaPLUS
Judges cited the PIXMA iP8500’s 8-ink ChromaPLUS technology as key to its success, noting that the additional red and green inks “expand the printer's colour gamut significantly, particularly in the yellow-to-red and green hues.”

Canon iP8500 printer - FINE technology
FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) technology is an adaptation of its own silicon chip manufacturing technology which creates print heads with tolerance and precision similar to that of integrated circuits. The FINE print head in the Canon photo printer, PIXMA iP8500, features over 6 thousand Micro-Nozzles, capable of ejecting millions of microscopic 2 picolitre droplets per second with unrivalled consistency and accuracy. PictBridge support, direct CD/DVD printing and duplex unit for easy two-sided printing were also acknowledged as an important consideration in the association members’ decision. The Canon PIXMA iP8500 printer is available now for £329 / ?475.01 inc. VAT.
