CanonCanon Laser Shot LBP3000 and LBP2900 printers : Canon is pleased to announce the latest in its range of Laser Shot printers, the Laser Shot LBP3000 (14ppm) and Laser Shot LBP2900 (12ppm). Designed specifically for the home or small office, the printers provide affordable quality that is simple to use and full of the advanced features that users expect from a Canon product. Both the LBP3000 and the LBP2900 have a paper cassette that can hold up to 150 pages - with such a large volume capacity, there is less need for user intervention in operating the printers. At between 12 and 14 pages per minute print speed and with a resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi equivalent, high quality professional results can be achieved without delay.

What makes the speed of the LBP3000 and LBP2900 most impressive is the FPOT: the first print can be achieved in just 9.3 seconds. The advanced technologies inside the Canon LBP3000 and Canon LBP2900 make the printers very simple to operate. CAPT allows the user to control all aspects of printing either from a Windows dialogue box or using Sound Assist, and also minimises the need for external buttons and menus.

Canon LBP3000 & LBP2900 - Cartridge
The printer also uses an All in One cartridge. The drum and toner are included in one unit, which makes printer upkeep straightforward and mess free. Replacing the printer cartridge also replaces the electrostatic charger, cleaner and other elements, therefore almost eliminating printer maintenance.

Canon LBP2900 & LBP3000 - Quiet efficiency
Despite their speed, the LBP3000 and LBP2900 are quiet and Energy Star compliant. Little noise is emitted during operation, or when the printer is on stand-by. In both modes, the printers are also energy efficient, which equates to lower running costs. Packed with features, the printers maintain a small and sleek design that can be placed anywhere in the home or office.

Canon Laser Shot LBP2900 & LBP3000 - Flexible paper handling
In keeping with the performance and flexibility expected from a quality Canon printer, the Laser Shot LBP2900 and LBP3000 accept a wide range of media types, including envelopes, A4, B5, A5, Letter, Executive, and postcards. Custom paper can be manually fed at 76.2 – 215.9mm width, 127.0 – 355.6mm length. The Laser Shot LBP3000 also comes with a tray cover. The Canon Laser Shot LBP3000 and Laser Shot LBP2900 will be available from May 2005 for £119 RRP inc. VAT / ?172 RRP inc. VAT and £99 RRP inc. VAT / ?143 RRP inc. VAT respectively.
