Lyson Daylight Darkroom digital printing system : Lyson Inc., a leading provider of inks, media, and related products to the printing, photography, graphic arts, and other allied industries, has introduced a Windows XP version of its revolutionary Daylight Darkroom digital black & white printing system. This new imaging system provides photographers what they have long desired - the ability to accurately mirror traditional darkroom techniques, including silver halide printing, with digital images and an inkjet printer. The Windows XP version of Daylight Darkroom is being introduced - and the Mac OS X version extended - for use with the Epson Photo 1280, 2000, and 2200 printers, as well as the Stylus Pro 2200, 4000, and 7600 / 9600

“Printing high quality monochrome images using a normal color ink set has always been problematic,” says Tony Martin, president of Lyson, Inc. “By developing a true monochrome print driver along with media featuring a new proprietary coating, and by leveraging these developments with our superior ink technology, we’ve been able to overcome the historical barriers to exceptional digital black and white printing. The results of this system are stunning - a genuine breakthrough - and virtually every photographic eye that has examined Daylight Darkroom prints has confirmed this. The addition of an XP version of the Daylight Darkroom driver to the original Mac OSX version - and extending these over a wide range of Epson printers - now brings this technology to the fingertips of every serious photographer interested in digital black and white imaging.”
