FujifilmFujifilm today announced the arrival of the FinePix A205S. As easy to use as your TV remote, and with the same point and shoot simplicity, this camera will tame even the most timid technophobe. Equipped with a 3x Fujinon optical zoom lens, 2 million pixel CCD, Video Out socket, increased battery life and smart Fujifilm design, the FinePix A205S delivers high quality images without the need to frown over an instruction booklet. Small buttons and long menus can be intimidating to first timers, but the FinePix A205S is easier to handle with its larger buttons and a simple layout, making camera navigation child's play. As a 2 million pixel camera, the FinePix A205S' images are a manageable size.
Sending and storing your shots is therefore a much snappier process, whilst the picture quality will have you thinking that a higher spec camera is lurking beneath its simple exterior.

Imagine you don't have a PC. The Video Out socket connects the camera to your television, et voila – your own private slide show! The pictures can then easily be turned into prints with Fujifilm's high street photo printing service, FDi.

The cherry on the cake is the 3x Fujinon lens, providing an optical reach that lets you zoom in and automatically gives you crisp image quality.

Fujifilm's low battery consumption is an added bonus, saving you money on batteries and letting you enjoy taking pictures for even longer.

FinePix A205S features at a glance: 3 x Fujinon lens (36 – 108mm equivalent) 2 million pixel CCD (1600 x 1200 effective image) Video Out socket, enabling non-computer users to review shots on the television Highly efficient energy consumption

Long lasting battery life The FinePix A205S has been specifically developed to reduce power consumption. The two AA alkaline batteries supplied with the camera deliver an impressive 300 shots under normal conditions (with the LCD monitor switched off). NiMH rechargeable batteries are also available as part of the accessories range for even better battery economy.

Straight from the box The FinePix A205S is supplied with everything needed to start shooting straight from the box. A full range of accessories including two AA alkaline batteries, 16MB xD-Picture Card, hand strap, software CD-ROM, video cable, cradle adapter for FinePix A205S and USB cable are bundled with the camera. The supplied software CD includes USB drivers, Fujifilm's FinePix Viewer 4.0 for image browsing, and ImageMixer VCD for creating multimedia albums.

Pricing and availability The FinePix A205S will be available from photographic and electrical retailers in September 2003 at a price that will be finalised closer to the retail launch.
