Managing Director, Mr Akihiko Nezu returns to Japan to take a new role within Konica Minolta. Toshihiro Matsumoto will replace him; previously President of Konica Minolta Photo Imaging France. He will take over from Akihiko Nezu from May 2005. As part of a drive to improve logistics and cost effectiveness the warehousing sited within Milton Keynes of the legacy Minolta camera business will close. All camera distribution will be transferred to the Konica Minolta warehousing facility in Feltham, Middlesex.
Konica Minolta UK announces internal restructureKonica Minolta UK - Redundancies
This will result in enforced redundancies within the Milton Keynes operation. The Konica Minolta Service Division that also operates from this location will not be affected by this change. Further enforced redundancies will take place within Konica Minolta Sales and Marketing operations at the Feltham office through the creation of a leaner, more responsive business model for future development. The total number of redundancies from these operational changes will affect fewer than 20 people.

Konica Minolta UK - Regrets the need
Konica Minolta regrets the need to enforce redundancies but feels they are required to ensure it remains ahead of the game within a very competitive marketplace. Konica Minolta will continue to produce innovative and technically advanced photographic products for consumers as well as class leading Minilabs for photo finishing businesses.

Konica Minolta UK - Agreement with Tetenal
Seeking to improve efficiency and provide a specialised and more informed service to our laboratory customers Konica Minolta has extended its agreement with Tetenal for distribution to some Konica Minolta Minilab owners. From 1st April 2005, Konica Minolta will use the services of Tetenal to distribute paper, chemistry and film products to these accounts. Tetenal has sales and administration staff that have experience and expertise specifically in the laboratory sector and are well equipped to be able to offer an expert and efficient service.
