SonySony DPP-FP50 home photo printer introduction : Printing and sharing consumers favourite photographs just got easier with the introduction of the latest DPP-FP50 home photo printer from Sony. The DPP-FP50 features a wireless remote control that makes it possible to print, edit, and enjoy lab-quality pictures from the comfort of the sofa. The new model also supports the PictBridge standard, so images can be viewed and printed directly from any PictBridge™ compatible digital camera without having to turn on a computer. Powerful on-screen tools set the new DPP-FP50 photo printer apart from all others, providing consumers with tremendous convenience and stunning photos while enabling them to enjoy their images on a television.

Since so many family memories are shared in the living room, the new printer is designed to work seamlessly with a television. With the supplied video cable, consumers can view images on a TV screen, select an image to print and, with the press of a button, produce a print in about 60 seconds. A built-in LCD display allows users to select standalone printing options when not using a PC or a TV. Additionally, the new model incorporates a Memory Stick (PRO), Compact Flash as well as Secure Digital media slots.

Sony DPP-FP50 - Creative Editing Options
The printer also comes loaded with built-in editing options*, such as red-eye correction that identifies any red-eye problems and then enables the printer to make the correction automatically. It features other editing tools for cropping, rotating, adjusting image sharpness, contrast, brightness and size. The printer also has built-in creative options for adding personalized messages, calendars, frames, and printing multiple photos on one sheet.

Sony DPP-FP50 - High Quality Prints
The DPP-FP50 photo printer uses dye-sublimation technology to create durable, lab quality prints. Each print is sealed with SuperCoat 2™ laminate, which makes photos resistant to spills, moisture and fingerprints. Print packs are available in both 40 & 80 bundles. The DPP-FP50 will be available in May 2005 at an affordable price, the elegant and compact DPP-FP50 printer, making it attractive to any style-conscious consumer whilst still providing stunning results.
