 Praktica Luxmedia 5008 digital camera introduction : Pentacon, located in Germany, introduces their latest digital camera of the Luxmedia series, the Praktica Luxmedia 5008 digital camera. The Praktica Luxmedia 5008 features a five Megapixel CCD image sensor and is equipped with a 8x optical zoom lens. The back of the Praktica Luxmedia 5008 digital camera is covered with a rather small LCD display, only 1.6-inch. Today, this is small and only suitable on ultra compact digital cameras. The Praktica Luxmedia 5008 however looks similar to the body of a digital SLR camera, offering enough space for a large display. The Praktica 5008 is not likely to be widely spread on the European market, but you may catch one around the small stores.

 Praktica Luxmedia 5008 - Features
The Praktica 5008 digital camera features a 5.2 Megapixels CCD image sensor. Together with a 8x optical zoom lens and 4x digital the basic ingredients are there. Like we noticed the rather small 1.6-inch TFT colour display is not like we are use to see in models like the Praktica Luxmedia 5008. Beside the display the Praktica Luxmedia 5008 also incorporates an electronic view finder with 180.000 pixels of resolution. The 8x optical zoom lens has a bright f2.8 wide and f3.4 for tele and covers a focal range of 40-320mm (35mm equiv.).
