OlympusOlympus S-DVD-100 DVD recorder introduction : With the announcement of the Easy Imaging System at Photokina 2004, Olympus introduced a new integrated approach to shooting, printing, archiving and sharing digital photos without the need for a PC. Now, a DVD recorder joins the line-up to make digital photography easier, more stylish and enjoyable. The new S-DVD-100 DVD recorder facilitates the easy sharing of images with friends and family as well as secure long-term archiving. A camera of the Easy Imaging System, such as Olympus IR 300 is simply connected to the Olympus S-DVD-100 recorder via a docking station and the burning is almost done. The Olympus S-DVD-100 DVD recorder will be available from spring 2005.

Creating DVDs and CDs containing photos must no longer be a chore. The new Olympus S-DVD-100 DVD recorder takes the hassle out of this task. Whether for sharing with friends and family or archiving purposes, the recorder makes fast and easy work of burning virtually all types of DVDs or CDs (at 8x and 24x recording speeds respectively). A camera from the Easy Imaging System, such as the Olympus IR 300, merely needs to be docked onto the recorder via its docking station and burning can commence - it is that easy. As with all Easy Imaging System components, the concept of minimalist design and uncomplicated, PC-free operation is also a cornerstone of this ultra-compact and slim DVD recorder which makes it ideal to take along to parties, for example. Furthermore, due to USB 2.0 Hi-Speed support, the recorder may be easily connected to a PC and thereby functions as a stylish external DVD drive too.

S-DVD-100 DVD recorder main features are: records onto almost all types of CDs & DVDs directly from an Easy Imaging System camera via docking station, max. 24x CD / 8x DVD burning and can also be used as external DVD drive with a PC (connection to PC via USB 2.0 Hi-Speed).
