LexmarkLexmark International, Inc. today introduced the most comprehensive inkjet line in its history, featuring three new inkjet series to meet the growing range of consumer printing needs. The line offers two photo printers, including the industry’s first sub-$100 photo printer with on-board camera card readers, as well as a feature-rich, easy-to-use entry inkjet printer for novice users. Lexmark also unveiled three newly designed All-In-One inkjets – the PrinTrio X1150, X6150, and X6170 – in a separate release today. The introduction of this robust line of inkjets continues Lexmark’s legacy of print quality excellence with a maximum 4800 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi) resolution on photo paper available across the entire product line.
In addition, Lexmark’s exclusive Photo Center software helps users effortlessly tap into sophisticated photo editing features to enhance and simplify the digital printing experience. Integrated driver software includes ?red-eye’ reduction, color manipulation and photo sizing – all easily accessible and user friendly.

Lexmark’s $49 Z600 Color Jetprinter series provides novice users seeking a high-quality, all-around printer, with up to 4800 x 1200 dpi print resolution and fast prints speeds of up to 14 pages-per-minute (ppm) in black and up to 8 ppm in color. These affordable inkjets are ideal for quickly printing school reports, Web pages and simple color graphics and images.

For consumers interested in creating photo quality output, the Z700 Photo Jetprinter series is capable of borderless printing, allowing users to generate output that is suitable for framing and display. In addition, the $79 Z700 series offers six-color photo print capability, using an optional photo cartridge, for brilliant color photos.

In addition to offering great looking photos, Lexmark’s exclusive Photo Center Software allows users to easily edit photos (red eye reduction, crop, rotate, add text, etc.) as well as create scrapbook pages, develop an online photo album, and even create a “slide show” from your PC monitor.

Featuring automatic cartridge alignment and PrecisionSense technology, which automatically adjusts the driver according to the paper type being fed through the paper tray, the Z700 series is easy to operate. Well suited for consumers seeking an all-purpose inkjet with superb photo printing capabilities, the Z700 series has fast print speeds of up to 17 ppm in black, and can churn out 4” X 6” photos in normal mode in about 60 seconds.

The P700 series is geared toward digital photographers interested in creating prints that rival photo lab quality. A sister product to the Z700 series, the P700 series offers the same technology listed above, with the addition of on-board camera card readers to further simplify the digital photo printing experience. The P700 series also ships with both a color and photo cartridge, for brilliant six-color printing. Accommodating six camera card types – CompactFlash I & II, Secure Digital, SmartMedia, Memory Stick and Multi-Media Card – the P700 Series supports virtually all leading digital cameras. Priced at $99, Lexmark’s P700 is the first sub-$100 photo printer with camera card readers.

Key photo features such as borderless printing, six-color images, up to 4800 dpi and photo card slots make this printer a “must-have” for the digital camera enthusiasts, or anyone wanting to print great-looking photos.

These products will begin shipping soon and will be sold in most retailers including Best Buy, Circuit City, Comp USA, Costco, Kmart, OfficeMax, Staples, Target and Wal Mart. Business customers can also purchase the new products through CDW, Insight, PC Connection, MicroWarehouse, PC Mall and many other solution providers.
