New Kodak digital camera accessories

KodakEastman Kodak Company today introduced a number of digital camera accessories designed to simplify picture taking and sharing, including a 6-in-1 memory card reader, travel kits, add-on lenses, and high capacity memory cards. The Kodak 6-in-1 Card Reader (US$34.95) is designed for people who own more than one type of digital camera and other electronics devices (e.g., PDAs, mobile phones). Its four-slot design accommodates SD Card , MultiMediaCard (MMC), CompactFlash (CF), Memory Stick, SmartMedia, and Microdrive cards, making it simple to rapidly transfer data to and from connected computer via USB High Speed (480Mb/second). The card reader is packaged with Kodak EasyShare software version 3.0 for effortless digital picture management.
The Kodak printer dock travel kit (US$49.95) makes it easy to pack and carry everything needed to take and print photos away from home. It provides room for an EasyShare printer dock, AC adapter, extra paper and dye cartridges, plus it has a detachable digital camera bag and neck strap. The kit, available in August, also includes 10 self-adhesive labels that turn favorite 4x6-inch photos into post cards that are perfect for mailing.

For the digital photographer who wants to take more advanced shots, Kodak has introduced 0.6X wide-angle (US$49.95) and 2.0X telephoto (US$59.95) lenses for use with EasyShare DX6340, DX4330, DX3600, DX3900, DX4900, and LS443 cameras. These Kodak Retinar all-glass, 37mm lenses deliver superb image quality, and quickly attach to supported cameras via a lens adapter (sold separately).

Other accessories announced include high-capacity 64MB, 128MB, and 256MB SD memory cards with a 5-year limited warranty (July availability); the Kodak EasyShare travel kit (US$39.95) containing a camera bag, Ni-MH battery pack and charger with worldwide power plugs; and the Kodak EasyShare digital camera starter kit ($19.95; August availability) that includes a camera bag, Kodak Ultima Picture Paper for inkjet printers, a tabletop tripod, and memory card carrying case.

Also introduced were 3-volt and 5-volt AC adapters (US$29.95) for EasyShare digital cameras; a LS-series camera bag (US$9.95) for EasyShare LS633, LS443, and LS420 digital cameras; and a full-size digital camera tripod (US$24.95) with carrying case.
