EpsonEpson Stylus Photo R1800 introduction : The Epson Stylus Photo R1800 is a further step on the road to success: True borderless printing featuring eight Epson UltraChrome Hi-Gloss pigment inks and outstanding Epson printing technology is now available in larger formats! The innovative Epson Photo R1800 provides the same performance the multi-award-winning Epson Stylus Photo R800 offers for formats of up to A4, but up to borderless A3-plus format. In December 2004, the readers of druckerchannel.de crowned the Epson Photo R800 photo printer of the year 2004. Whether sheet or roll paper, Velvet Fine Art or Water Colour Paper: The new Epson can print on everything, including CDs or DVDs.
Epson Stylus Photo R1800 introductionEven Fine Art reproduction for gallery display is possible. Minute details and perfect transitions are recreated using tiny 1.5pl ink droplets at a resolution of up to 5,670 x 1,440 optimised dpi. And because it uses separate ink cartridges, the printer is also extremely economical. Only those colours that have been used up must be refilled. In addition, no cartridge exchange is necessary with the Epson Stylus Photo R1800 when a switch is made from matt to gloss printing or vice-versa.

Beautiful results - for 100 years!
Gloss Optimizer provides the printouts of digital images with the high gloss they require. The gloss lasts for a minimum of 100 years. In brief: The Epson R1800 provides the attributes of a darkroom in broad daylight, at the affordable price of approximately EUR 599,00. The new A3+ flagship is available in shops as of April 2005.

"After launching the Epson Stylus Photo R800, we were asked frequently when we would market a similar printer for A3 formats," explains Karsten Jahn, Manager of Product Marketing at Epson Deutschland. "The answer is: Now! The high-quality revolution initiated by the Epson Photo R800 is being continued by its A3+ cousin Epson Stylus Photo R1800. The images created by the combination of Epson Micro Piëzo inkjet technology and Epson UltraChrome Hi-Gloss pigment inks are superior to results produced in a darkroom in certain respects, and the photographer has a far greater influence."

Perfect sunsets
Eight high-quality, extremely long-lasting pigment inks are used in the Epson Stylus Photo R1800. The additional colours Blue and Red ensure a spectrum superior to laboratory development in some respects. Sunsets, autumnal scenes and idyllic blue oceans are subject to perfect natural presentation. Epson Gloss Optimizer ensures the balanced, brilliant shine of the image surface, and the black inks Matte and Photo Black provide automatic optimal results on gloss and matt media. However, Gloss Optimizer is only applied selectively to ink-free sections of the paper.

Operation and equipment? Ideal!
The Epson Stylus Photo R1800 was designed for photo specialists, not for computer experts, operation is easy and convenient. Thus, exceptional photo printing is possible even without IT skills. USB 2.0 Hi-Speed and IEEE 1394 (FireWire) interfaces provide the perfect connection to PCs and Macs. Thanks to the Epson Creativity Suite software supplied, there are no obstacles to innovative design: from basic CD printing using Epson Print CD to editing professional RAW image formats with Epson RAW Print, the Epson Stylus Photo R1800 provides everything? You only have to take the photos!
